Extremely Efficient Bathroom

Item #: SCP-1513

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-1513 and SCP-1513-1 through 7 are to remain on the third floor of █████ Apartment complex in ████████ St. of the city of [REDACTED] Western Ireland. The apartment SCP-1513 is contained in is to be occupied by no less than three foundation personnel at any time and the rest of Apartment complex itself must remain closed to the public. Standard Foundation operating procedures Re: O5 Memoranda, ‘Public Secret’ are to be carried out to maintain semblance of normality and to dissuade public interest in the Apartment complex itself.

As of ██/██/20██ in order to further financially justify foundation presence on the remote edge of Western Europe and to compensate for the loss of Relay outpost [REDACTED], the containment site of SCP-1513 is to function as a safe house and outpost for foundation personnel operating in the region.

Description: SCP-1513 is above standard en suite bathroom outfitted with one Toilet, sink, one cupboard containing various hygiene goods, a 408 x 406mm mirror with wooden frame arranged vertically above the sink, one radiator, one shower-bathtub combination complete with shower curtain and one hot-press containing necessities such as spare toilet paper. These items are listed as SCP-1513-1 through to 7 respectively. Anomalous properties were not immediately evident upon discovery and it is unknown at present how long SCP-1513 has been active although it is known that the last time construction work has taken place on the relevant section of the apartment complex took place on ██/██/████.

Anomolous effects of SCP-1513 do not become immediately obvious until one attempts to impair, interrupt or otherwise interfere with the operations of any of SCP-1513’s component parts. Observable effects include water proffered from the tap of the sink changing colour and assuming highly acidic properties in order dislodge blockage from the sink. The acid does not seem to damage the ceramic of the sink bowl nor corrode the plumbing pipes of the sink. Curiously, tests with D-Class personnel has shown the acid to not be harmful to human tissue, although D-Class personnel have reported feelings of unease on contact with the acid, test with animals has produced similar results. Other known anomalous effects of SCP-1513 include enhancing the capacities and functions of hygienic products brought into SCP-1513, (see test log). Other observable effects on personnel utilising general include feelings of satisfaction, security and confidence upon utilising SCP-1513 and, depending on which of SCP-1513’s components where utilised, improved physical health.

Other tests have shown that the bathroom somehow keeps itself clean, paint deliberately dropped on the floor in three separate occasions have shown an additional anomalous effect. When observed either by living persons or electronic means, the paint slowly peels off the floor tiles and other surfaces where the paint was splashed and has been shown to deteriorate into dust. An electrical outage in the city of [REDACTED] lasting for 0 minutes has shown that when unobserved the paint splashed in the bathroom disappeared during the time of the blackout, suggesting [DATA EXPUNGED]. A third occasion, again with paint was conducted, researchers left SCP-1513 and closed the door for a period of 2 minutes and returned, similar to the previous test the paint had disappeared. Tests involving breaking SCP-1513-4 showed subject was capable of self repair under similar circumstances.
Investigating the plumbing of the Apartment complex has revealed that the plumbing of SCP-1513 is not connected to the rest of the complex, instead, plumbing layout of the complex seems to have been deliberately designed to circumvent the apartment where SCP-1513. It is unknown at this time where SCP-1513 gets it water from nor where it takes waste material.

Discovery Log: Discovery occurred during the last three nights of Agent ██████’s mandatory sabbatical from the foundation. He had visited the country with some friends after having toured Europe and were invited to stay at the apartment complex by a family member of one of Agent ██████’s friends. SCP-1513 was utilised many times over the three night stay with no detrimental effects. Anomolous properties where discovered while Agent BLANK was shaving on the morning after the third night when one of his friends, who was drinking homemade soup out of a cup, accidentally spilled the thick substance into the sink. Behaving normally, Agent ██████ proceeded to turn the cold water tap on fully to dislodge the soup. The tap produced water normally until only portions of vegetable remained which proceeded to partially block the sinkhole. It was then SCP-1513-2 produced acidic liquid to dissolve the vegetable material and unblock the sinkhole. Agent BLANK then contacted the foundation as soon as possible and containment of SCP-1513 took place. Questioning of occupier of the apartment revealed occupant was unaware of anomalous properties of SCP-1513 throughout his stay in the apartment of 0 years. Class B Amnesiacs administered as well as minor compensation on insistence of Agent ██████ and other occupants of the apartment complex evicted. Containment site ownership transferred to the Foundation under one of its fronts.

Test Log:
Researcher: Dr. █████████
Component Used: SCP-1513-1
Subject: D-1356
Result: No anomalous effects. Although subject displayed a much friendlier continence for the rest of the day.

Researcher: Dr. █████████
Component Used: SCP-1513-1
Subject: Concrete, removal of obstructions
Result: Test to replicate previous results of SCP-1513 cleaning itself. Test was successful, while unobserved for a short period the concrete was removed by unknown means. No trace found.

Researcher: Dr. █████████
Component Used: SCP-1513-1
Subject: Concrete, removal of obstructions
Result: After flushing mechanism engaged with the lid of the Toilet’s refill mechanism removed for observation purposes. Water contained within had no anomalous properties; however when the flush mechanism was engaged liquid produced in the toilet bowl had the same acidic properties as that produced by SCP-1513-2 in the removal of blockages only magnified. Concrete was completely dissolved by acid created an acrid smoke. No observable change to the water within the refill mechanism occurred, until it reached the toilet bowl itself.

Researcher: Dr. █████████
Component Used: SCP-1513-3
Subject: Removal of hygienic contents
Result: No Anomalous effects. Hygienic products removed and tested elsewhere produced none of the effects observed in persons who utilised them while in SCP-1513. Further testing showed that use of hygienic products brought into SCP-1513 did not produce anomalous effects until after they were placed within SCP-1513-3 for a short period of time, (as of this test, 5 seconds).

Researcher: Dr. █████████
Component Used: SCP-1513-3
Subject: D-1423, hygienic products, prolonged in depth study
Result: Highly beneficial effects on D-Class personnel, after prolonged use of commercially toothpaste, mouthwash and dental floss placed within SCP-1513-3, D-Class displayed positive personality improvements, including a substantially improved vocabulary and a somewhat subtle sense of humour whereas previously subject’s vocabulary was very limited and had a course and vulgar sense of humour. Aside from this ‘silver tongue’ effect, physical effects include substantially tongue pallet and cleaner teeth, though there still remains some yellow colouration, subject has remarked he no longer experiences pain when consuming ice cream whereas previously his teeth where sensitive to the cold. Testing has also showed that one of the subject’s missing teeth has started to grow back. Subjected terminated after 30 day period was over.
Dr █████████: I don’t think further testing with D-Class is necessary.

Researcher: Dr. █████████
Component Used: SCP-1513-4
Subject: Agent ███████
Result: Anomalous effects not apparent until after the lights in SCP-1513 where turned off, subject noted that while the rest of the room appeared to be dark in the mirror, the subject could see himself and anything he was holding clearly as if the lights had not been turned off. This included shadows cast by the lights had they been turned on. Subject proceeded to shave without incident.

Researcher: Dr. █████████
Component Used: SCP-1513-5
Subject: Two wet blankets, objects were deliberately placed only partially on SCP-1513-5 on both occasions. There does not seem to be any way to turn SCP-1513-5 on or off nor has it emitted any heat throughout observation.
Result: Effect similar to instances were SCP-1513 cleans itself. On first instance, Dr. BLANK left the room for a period of 1 minute. Upon entering the blanket was completely dry and folded neatly on SCP-1513-5. On the second instance a camera was set up to observe, process took nearly half an hour to complete and [DATA EXPUNGED]

Researcher: Dr. █████████
Component Used: SCP-1513-6
Subject: Agent ██████
Result: No anomalous effects.

Researcher: Dr. █████████
Component Used: SCP-1513-6
Subject: Agent ███, subject’s back was tattooed with tribal symbol which subject displayed displeasure of still having, subject also had a tattoo of the Virgin Mary and a heart with an AK-47 emblazoned across it on his right arm.
Result: SCP-1513-6 produced acidic liquid similar to previous tests, but had a noticeably blue colouration. Subject reported feelings of unease during testing, but after exiting SCP-1513 she reported feelings of relief and displayed an improved disposition. Tribal tattoo on back was absent, yet tattoos on subject’s right arm remained. Subject terminated after time limit was up.
Dr.█████████: Fascinating, it seems that SCP-1513 can somehow tell whether or not a human utilising its components wants something to remain or to be removed. I may have to motion for SCP-1513 to be moved up to Euclid class if it comes to light it is sapient.

Researcher: Dr. █████████
Component Used: SCP-1513-6
Subject: Various foundation personnel with tattoos and other markings.
Result: In all instances where personnel displayed displeasure, admittedly or otherwise as revealed after being questioned post-examination, with markings upon their body, the marking was removed whereas other markings remarked upon fondly by personnel remained untouched. This was the case regardless of marking’s ink make up, age, condition or visibility or subject matter. Liquid emitted from SCP-1513-6 only changed slightly to a deeper blue hue when utilised by personnel with particularly old and faded markings. During testing, hygienic products utilised from the shower hanger within SCP-1513-6 showed properties similar to products contained within SCP-1513-3, with personnel displaying improved
Dr. █████████: It seems SCP-1513 has no concept of art and nothing else in testing has indicated any degree of sapience, I will rescind my recommendation of Euclid classification.

Researcher: Dr. █████████
Component Used: SCP-1513-7
Subject: Various objects and hygienic products
Result: No anomalous effects, except when toilet paper is placed within SCP-1513-7. Toilet paper retains a degree of warmth when removed for use. The effect is continuous even after 30 days removed from SCP-1513-7. The effect is lost if Toilet roll is removed from 15-13 however.

Researcher: Dr. █████████
Component Used: SCP-1513-6
Subject: Waste material from SCP-███
Result: [DATA EXPUNGED] it took three days to remove the acrid stench from the rest of the apartment. No lasting damage to SCP-1513 occurred.

Researcher: Dr. █████████
Component Used: SCP-1513-1-7
Subject: Agent B██████, subject was instructed to use every component of SCP-1513 to better himself and was not permitted to leave SCP-1513 until a period of 7 hours had passed.
Result: [DATA EXPUNGED] is now promoted to Project head at [REDACTED]
Dr.█████████: What the hell just happened?
O5-█: From this point on, no personnel is allowed to utilise SCP-1513 for a period extending an hour. I do not care how good that damn shower is.
