Special Containment Procedures: SCP-1058 shall be held in a SCP Type 3 Entity Holding Cell with the bare minimum furnishings. SCP-1058’s hands shall be restrained together to ensure minimum mobility while still allowing homeostasis maintenance functions. Equipment allowing writing or communicating of any kind will not be permitted into the Holding Cell. All personnel entering the Holding Cell for any reason should be equipped with ear protectors or other sound nullifying devices and should avoid looking directly at the mouth of SCP-1058 to ensure no communication between SCP-1058 and Site personnel. In the event of a containment breach, recontainment units should be supplied with thermal cameras and sound-nullifying equipment.
Site personnel exposed to communication by SCP-1058 for over 5 minutes should be restrained and sedated as soon as possible. Site personnel exposed to communication by SCP-1058 for over 30 minutes should be treated with the same containment procedures as SCP-1058 and will be classified SCP-1058-#. Recontainment units are allowed to use deadly force to subdue SCP-1058 and SCP-1058-#.
Description: SCP-1058 is a human male of Middle Eastern origins, birthdate estimated 1971. Subject has been described as ”intimidating” or ”large” or ”imposing” in many occasions, but otherwise has no major distinguishing characteristics.
Subject seems to have a very malicious and abusive attitude towards Site personnel and any other human beings it is introduced to. If allowed to freely communicate with a person who can receive and understand the subject’s speech or written messages, the victim will slowly begin to feel a strong apathy and depression. Symptoms will amplify as long as SCP-1058 is freely allowed to continue communication, with overwhelming depression setting in after 3 minutes of communication. SCP-1058 seems to utilize the negative traits of apparent physical features, general demeanor, and verbal skills of the victim for systematic ridicule and abuse. SCP-1058 also seems to have the ability to gain access to information only known to the victim and utilize that perfectly to further his goals. Subject is also noted to be overwhelmingly adept at argumentation and general oral skills, to the point where his victims are unable to reply at all.
After 5 minutes the victim’s will be completely crushed, and SCP-1058 is assumed to be in total control of the victimc’s ego and persona. Victims will typically follow any orders given to by SCP-1058 and submit to any actions and submit any actions with a deep apathy and despair. If communication is stopped before 15 minutes, victim will eventually recover back to normal confidence and operating ability, with varying levels of rest and therapy needed. If communication is allowed to continue to 30 minutes or past that, SCP-1058’s verbal abuse will start to change the personality traits and even the physical characteristics of the victim into overexaggerated versions of those communicated by SCP-1058 during the abuse. The changes will often be permanent, and the victim will himself start to convert others into the same apathy and despair, though the victims will keep a despaired and apathetic demeanor instead of SCP-1058’s aggressively dominant one.
Physical proximity and eye contact to SCP-1058 has been known to be a key in the conversive effects. Sufficiently censored textual logs have been shown to have only minimal depressive effects.
Acquisition log:
SCP-1058 was discovered in the village of ████████ in Northern ██████████. Field agents reported a civil uprising, but it was thought to be of no interest to the Foundation for two weeks until [DATA EXPUNGED]. Acquisition unit ██████████-████ arriving on the scene found the whole village in a state of decay and anarchy, with SCP-1058 taking the role of a gang leader. Many villagers were physically deteriorated into extreme states of obesity, deformity, illness, or malnutrition. The psychological characteristics seemed to favor the negative traits seen in humans, with a high degree of spontaneous violence, aggression, substance abuse, jealousy, greed, and rage. Some villagers were found dead from malnutrition in their apartments, seemingly suicide due to apathy. SCP-1058 was using many of the villagers as slaves with his aggressive telepathic ability.

Incident log ██-██-████:
SCP-1058 broke containment at 0752 hours local Site time. SCP-1058 proceeded to communicate to and convert 7 members of Site personnel before converts were neutralized by recontainment units. SCP-1058 was recontained after 5 hours 30 minutes when it failed to gain access through a security checkpoint.
SCP-1058 shall now be kept restrained sufficiently to eliminate the possibility of SCP-1058 using own blood as a means of communication.
