Item#: SCP-1139
Object class: Euclid
Special containment procedures: SCP-1139 is stored within a 6x6 box container made of plexiglass. Access to the room that it is stored in is strictly prohibited to all staff but D-class personnel.
Description: SCP-1139 is a porcelain figurine of a one-armed lemur. Subjects who touch the object are overcome by the sudden urge to draw one-armed lemurs. D-class personnel selected to come into contact with the object for experimental purposes drew without eating, drinking, and sleeping, unless aided by another. Currently, no medication except SCP-500 is proven to be effective to counter-act these affects, and so due to the socially debilitating nature of the object's effects, most of those affected are not known to survive more than a month from the day of contact. Personnel who maintain the object are regularly switched out on a monthly basis - with psychological examinations carried weekly. Those who show signs of being affected by the object are detained and put under surveillance for as long as three months, after which they are promptly terminated.
