  • Familiarity: Midnight has learned how to manipulate reality through magic. She's very cagey about her abilities, though, and is unwilling to discuss how she learned it. Her 'tell' is a low purring when she's concentrating. To get a spectacular effect, she needs to spend a Fate Point.

Aspects:

  • Here, Kitty, Kitty!: Midnight is a housecat, and will react to things like a cat would, rather than a human being. Will also be treated like a cat by others, sapient or no.
  • Paws for Thought: Midnight's forepaws can act as clumsy hands, akin to a raccoon or squirrel. Fine manipulation is right out. However, she does have claws to help with things like climbing and traction.
  • Can fit into a Breadbox: Much smaller and weaker than a human being.

Female housecat, black coat, golden eyes. Polydactyl paws with seven toes on each foot. Voice is reminiscent of Julie Newmar. Has apparently gained the title of Klitchzen through an honorable duel.

Personnel History

Midnight is a feral housecat, unusually intelligent and adept. She claims to be an expert hunter and lore mistress, but she can be distracted by cat toys and small creatures. “A kitty's gotta eat.” She is adept at traveling the Ways and guiding others, not to mention excellent at infiltration. “Nobody suspects the cat.” Midnight searches for other sapient animals, and feels a kinship toward them. She would like to find others like herself, although she's got no problem dealing with humans as an equal. Where she learned the Lore and Magic, she wouldn't say, but she's always on the lookout for interesting things.

Miscellaneous

While highly intelligent, Midnight is a housecat, and as such can be frightened and forced to flee. She makes up for her small stature with cunning, since almost no one expects a cat to know anything about such things as tripwires.

Midnight's magic cover things like telepathy, light telekinesis, ESP, and mental illusions. She has also begun to learn healing magic.


Gally the Rat:

Gally the rat is Midnight's familiar, a minor demon bound to the body of a dead child on a unicycle wearing a rat faced mask.

At GM's discretion, Gally has the ability to "smell" the presence and location of anyone not actively trying not to be found within a certain distance.
