Concept: I've seen a couple of cursory mentions and references to a fourth object class, Thaumiel, which existed in the very early stages when SCPs were being posted to /x/ but which didn't carry over to the old wiki. It was essentially an "anti-Keter", and the one example I've heard of was an infinitely absorptive pad of paper that was counteracting an infinitely overflowing inkwell. I thought it would be a fun exercise to try writing a Thaumiel-class SCP, just for shits and giggles. The interpretation I've gone with is that if a Keter will cause destruction if left alone, and so must be contained to prevent it, then a Thaumiel would actively prevent some sort of catastrophe unless tampered with, and so must be contained primarily to keep it from being interfered with. Obviously if I posted this to the main site, I'd change the object class.
Item #: SCP-AAAA
Object Class: Thaumiel (Note: Obviously the class will be changed prior to posting)
Concept: One of my biggest fears is the loss of one's self. The extinguishing of everything that makes a person themselves. Initially I wanted to do some sort of brain parasite (Cordyceps. Hate the fucker.), but that's been done to death. So instead, I had this idea of some sort of window to the afterlife, which would make it abundantly clear that the soul is extinguished after death. Moreover, the soul is used to fuel something malevolent. Every (sapient?) death makes it stronger. I was torn between making that the intended function of reality, or making the thing an interloper in the normal affairs of the afterlife, aka it eats you before you can get to heaven. I might just write two versions.
Item #: SCP-BBBB
Object Class: Safe/Euclid/Keter (indicate which class)
Special Containment Procedures: [Paragraphs explaining the Procedures]
Description: [Paragraphs explaining the Description]
Concept: I'm not really sure where this one came from. It just popped into my head on the way home from work and I thought I should write it up. It's more of a curiosity than anything, but maybe it'll work.
Item #: SCP-CCCC
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-CCCC is to be kept in a standard containment chamber for inert Safe-class objects, with whatever dimensions will accomodate its current maximum size. At present, SCP-CCCC is just over 2 meters across, and is stored in a 5 by 5 meter chamber. This chamber is to be kept dry, and a dehumidifier is to be kept running at all times. Additionally, the chamber is to be maintained at a temperature ideally greater than 40°C and no less than 10°C. In the event of both main on-site power and the containment chamber's backup generator failing, or the malfunction of the machinery necessary for SCP-CCCC's proper containment, restoring the temperature is to be considered a higher priority than the humidity.
Description: SCP-CCCC is a mass of ice, currently measuring a maximum of 2 meters across at its longest dimension and weighing approximately 1800 kilograms. (note: check if that's accurate given a slightly less than 2x1x1 block of ice) All examinations of SCP-CCCC samples indicate that it is chemically normal ice, and samples can be chipped off of it without difficulty. However, SCP-CCCC has not been seen to melt under any conditions. When heat greater than 30°C is applied to SCP-CCCC, its volume decreases as though it were melting (though it does not turn into a liquid state), but its mass remains constant. (keep working on this later)
