Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a completely soundproof room. This room must be locked at all times. In intervals of two (2) weeks, two (2) or more personnel must examine SCP-XXXX. Upon completion of its examination, personnel exposed to SCP-XXXX are subject to immediate amnesiatic drugs. If SCP-XXXX's sound emissions have ceased, SCP-XXXX is subject to immediate termination.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a primitive crystal radio (circa 19██) utilizing a simple galena diode. It continuously emits the sound of a human male speaking english. Said emission has not ceased since SCP-XXXX's discovery in 19██ at [DATA EXPUNGED]. The source of this transmission is currently unknown.
The voice emitted from SCP-XXXX appears to be that of a news anchor. The news reports given by SCP-XXXX were originally both dated and inaccurate. The first recorded emission was a report on the Presidential Election of the United States in 1964, declaring John F. Kennedy its victor. The second recorded emission was a report declaring a Russian cosmonaut was the first human being to walk on the surface of the Moon.
Similar inaccurate reports continued for ██ years, until SCP-XXXX "caught-up" to the present time, and then gave reports of events that had yet to happen. One such example is the results of a war between the United States and China in 21██. The United States [DATA EXPUNGED]. The accuracy of these reports is unknown.
Addendum: Repeated attempts to replicate SCP-XXXX using exact replicas of its components have failed to reproduce the audio emissions of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX has been relocated ███ times, yet it appears to never be out of range of the unknown location of the transmission it receives. The clarity of SCP-XXXX is extremely high, compared to other crystal radios. Upon analysis of the sound waves it emits, they appear to be out of the range of human hearing, yet all personnel exposed to SCP-XXXX claim to hear it.
